SCARBOROUGH, Maine — A Scarborough woman is facing charges after firing a bullet at a family member while holding her infant son, police said.

Angela Haddad, 34, is currently at the Cumberland County Jail on charges of aggravated reckless conduct and endangering the welfare of a child, according to a press release issued by Scarborough police.

Police went to an apartment complex at 11:45 p.m. Saturday after one of Haddad’s neighbors had reported she had come into the neighbor’s apartment stating the family member had a gun, the release said.

When police arrived, an investigation determined Haddad had gotten into an argument with the family member, and had fired a shot at him with a revolver while holding her 6-month-old baby, the release said.

She had wanted to kill the man, police said.
