2 Aroostook County men charged in string of residential burglaries

WADE, Maine — Two Aroostook County men face multiple charges in connection with residential burglaries in Wade late last month, according to information released Monday by the Maine State Police.

David Pelletier, 24, of Wade was arrested and charged Nov. 25 with two counts each of burglary and theft stemming from Maine State Police Trooper Nick Casavant’s investigation into two residential burglaries in Wade the previous week, according to the release.

At the time Pelletier also was charged with an additional count of felony theft on a separate incident involving theft from a family member.

Casavant subsequently charged Dennis Tardie, 25, of Mapleton with felony receiving stolen property in relation to the Wade burglaries.

Recovered in the investigation were video games and consoles, a safe, collector coins, jewelry, a flat-screen television, a chain saw and airsoft guns valued at several thousand dollars, according to information supplied by Maine State Police.

The men also are facing additional charges of theft brought by Trooper Shawn Whalen on Nov. 30 in connection with a third Wade burglary in which several thousand dollars in property was recovered.
