Selecting outerwear for infants and toddlers is always a challenge. Will they be too cold? Too warm? Columbia’s Youth Bugababy Interchange Bunting solves that problem with a three-in-one system that easily converts to meet a range of weather conditions.

The set includes two separate items — a waterproof shell and a fleece liner — which can be worn separately or combined.

The shell protects against snow and rain. Made from a nylon twill fabric with sealed seams to keep baby dry, it’s also breathable and lightweight enough to be used well into spring. The fast-drying fleece liner, which comes in a fun plaid pattern, offers a soft, snuggly fabric to ensure both comfort and warmth. A combination of the two provides full winter protection.

Other good news for parents: The Bugababy Interchange Bunting is easy to get on and off, with a diagonal front zipper that runs from the neck to the ankle. (No messing with difficult buttons or snaps.) The set also features wrists and ankles that fold over to protect hands and feet.

Available in a range of colors. Offered in sizes 6 months, 12 months, 18 months and 24 months. Price ranges from $70 to $90. Purchase at columbia.com.
