BANGOR – Victoria J. Greer, 55, died unexpectedly Nov. 28, 2012, at her home. She was born Sept. 5, 1957, in Eastport, daughter of Daniel and Lorraine (Avery) Apt.
Viki graduated from Shed High School, class of 1975, North Eastern University and the University of Maine. She was married to Jim Greer for 10 years. Viki enjoyed the water, loved spending time at Sugar Loaf and being with family. Viki had a contagious laughter and a smile that could light up the room. Her son, Josh, was her pride and joy. Viki was so proud of all his accomplishments and the family he had started. Her two grandsons, Christian and Brendan, were her life.
Viki is survived by her ex-husband and best friend, Jim Greer; son, Joshua Greer and wife, Erika, and their two sons, Christian and Brendan, of Clifton; stepchildren, Karen Greer of Florida, and Kim Ripley and husband, Rip, and their five children of New Hampshire; brothers, Michael Apt and wife, Debbie, of Kenduskeag, Martin Dore and wife, Rose, of Eddington, and George Avery and wife, Dianne, of Brewer; mother, Lorraine Avery of Clifton; nieces, Lara and Nicole Steele of Campbell, Calif., Nicole Lagasse of Clifton, Kara Lagasse of Greenbush and Natalie Hofman; and companion and soul mate, Darrel Curtis. Viki was predeceased by her father of Eastport; and sister, Valerie Steele of California.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call 3-5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, until the time of service 5 p.m. with the Rev. Roger Tracy officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor, after the service.
