WALTHAM – Marjorie E. Jordan, 89, went to be with loved ones Nov. 25, 2012, while staying with daughters in Venice, Fla. Marjorie was born June 21, 1923, in Mariaville, daughter of Albert and Ella (Dunham) Frost. She was one of nine children.
She married Roger Jordan in 1942 and they enjoyed 61 years together until his death in 2003. They raised their five children in Waltham, where she remained until shortly before her death. Marjorie cherished the company of friends and family as well as cooking, playing cards, picking blueberries, bingo and trips to camps on Molasses, Patten and Beech Hill ponds. Marjorie looked forward to the gathering of family at celebrations and holidays.
She is survived by five children, Judy Brown and husband, Cubby, of Otis, Linda Ronnquist and husband, Malcolm, of Otis, Joanne Hamilton and husband, Ron, of Ellsworth, Gregg Jordan and wife, Brenda, of Waltham and Rick Jordan and wife, Julie, of Waltham; 12 grandchildren, Trudy Lounder, Troy Brown, Jason Brown, Jim Hamilton, Scott Hamilton, Kirsten Hamilton, Jeremiah Jordan, Katherine Jordan, Keith Jordan, Emily Hutchinson, Abby Jordan and Joshua Jordan; 15 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; a sister, Harriet Sprague of Otis; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson, Timothy Jordan; great-granddaughter, Kourtney Clark; brothers, Bud, Owen and Harold Frost; and sisters, Phyllis Spencer, Doris Edgecomb, Liz Boss and Eva Barnes.
