The only one with a problem is McCain and Graham

    • Anonymous

Do some research This is a real big cover up If 0bama was an R he would already been impeached However the admin has been given a pass

      • Anonymous

If Obama was a repub this would be a real cover up. Seeings that he is not, its a witch hunt. He has been spit on since 2008, im sure that it will continue till 2016.

      • Anonymous

Come on. She was reporting what she was given by the “intelligence agencies”. How can she report otherwise? She was right not to speculate and the Republicans are jumping all over it because she’s a possible Obama appointee. They seem to be ok though that GW took us to war with Iraq over faulty intelligence. McCain, you once had well earned dignity and respect. Too bad you ruined yourself within a few short years.

        • Anonymous

I didn’t know that the President had to get Congressional approval to appoint a member of his cabinet. Is this true, or is it just a courtesy extended by the president?

          • Anonymous

I will answer my own question. From Wiki:

The Secretary of State, appointed by the President with the advice and consent of the Senate,…

So I guess the Senate must approve and confirm this post. Too bad.

          • Anonymous

Yeah, that darn constitutional “checks and balance” thingy gets in the way for libs every time!!

        • Anonymous

Susan Rice = “Stupid is as stupid does.” Not much integrity with this one but she will fit in well with O’s administration. When confronted with the facts, just plead “ignorance”.

      • Anonymous

If he was an R, he would have been impeached…? Huh? Dubya lied the country into war with Iraq, giving up on Afghanistan, spied illegally on Americans, imprisoned American citizens illegally (according to the Supreme Court, Scalia very notably), tortured illegally, devastated the economy with $1.8 trillion in tax cuts and paying for his war adventures through supplemental budget expenditures exploding the deficit to record levels… and for all the talk of impeachment that WAS perfectly warranted would never been impeached… what planet are you sitting on to think Obama would be impeached if he were a R…? That just doesn’t make a lick of sense…

        • Anonymous

Still hanging on to the “lied us into Iraq” cannard, huh? And all the other Bush=Bad memes? Gee, you would think your Kool-Aid might go bad after a while…

          • Guest

Those lies don’t work any longer.

      • Anonymous

sorry most of us don’t “trust’ the reseacrh on home made black back grounded web sites .

      • Sherman2

And do your research away from Fox News, The Wall street Journal, The Drudge Report, Limbaugh etc.
The right wingers are a stack of sore losers… simply put and enough said.

        • Anonymous

Sore losers who are trying to act as though they won after they had their @sses handed to them. Oh the hubris. They need a good smack down.

          • Anonymous

BTW, pipe, the HOR stayed in Republican control in the EXACT same election your president comfortably cruised to reelection. I wouldn’t call that having their rears handed to them. And your call for that good smack down reeks of the disgruntled elite who just cannot fathom that not everybody sees it their way. Poor libs.

          • Anonymous

            that’s quite a victory dance you’re doing.
            congratulations sport.
            jolly good show old chap.
I hope we can do better next time.

          • Anonymous

Well actually they lost seats, and they lots seats in the Senate. Considering that 98% of the time the incumbent wins, Yes it is very telling that they actually lost seats.

      • Anonymous

well no, considering the House does the impeaching and the republicans control it. Please learn your facts.

      • Anonymous

        BS.

    • Anonymous

McCain is still mad that he lost in 2008. He has a kind of vindictiveness to him.

    • Anonymous

Collins, not having to contend with a testosterone overkill, might be able to really hear what Rice is saying. These senators are just starting to understand who really won the election. And it is a hard thing for them to let go their dreams of the 2012 take back the nation from Obama campaign. Checkmate.

      • JohnR

That made me laugh I don’t think there is a single drop of testosterone in the whole Republican party, well ok……… maybe mAnn Coulter, but not many others. It’s all like a school yard bully I won’t fight you, but I will stand here and call you names. Then when cornered it’s mommy, mommy the Dems aren’t playing fair they keep winning and we keep losing. waaaa waaaaaaaaa. ROFL!

        • Anonymous

          Ann Coulter… good one…

      • Anonymous

Today Sen Collins said she still has “lingering questions” about Rice and her testimony. Collins also said that John Kerry would be easily confirmed as Secretary of State.

    • Anonymous

      That’s 2 by the way !

      • Anonymous

How about the one big problem is the obstructionist republican party.

    • Anonymous

exactly 1..It was pre-election campaign issue . they lost ;they need to give it up.2 I expect the Pres and the CIA to KEEP sensitive info from the public) (and the terrorists) while in their pursuit of the terrorists..3. Do you think Bush told the public ‘all’ after 911? I don’t . some stuff is stamped “confidential” for a reason . The right needs to take a pill .

    • Anonymous

FOUR DEAD AMERICANS! TO BAD YOU DON’T CARE ABOUT THEM OR THIER FAMILIES?

      • Anonymous

Hmmm… Remembering four dead Americans… Rice reported the information she was provided.

      • Anonymous

I do remember, too bad these guys care more about talking points then actually preventing this again. If they really cared they would be investigating what happened before the attack. Not what the talking points were after the attack. Literary this investigation does nothing to help anyone. Do you think the families are all of a sudden going to feel happy and wonderful that they died in a terrorist attack instead of a demonstration gone bad? What changes if we called it a terrorist attack right afterwards?

      • Anonymous

Yes, that’s it to a Tea.

  • Anonymous

Bottom line here is that Rice said exactly what she was told to say by BarryO & Co. In other words, she lied in order to protect Obugle & Co.
And, since she had no personal knowledge, and was only repeating what she was told to say, she became part of the deception and cover up.
Typical of the current gang of flamers occupying the White House.

    • Cecil Gray

She READ the reports and according to the hearings she did nothing wrong whatsoever. Condi Rice made statements for months about Mushroom Clouds and WMD’s and was still voted in by the two goobers. This is all a ploy to get Kerry in as Sec. so Scott Brown can run for his seat.

      • StillRelaxin

“Two goobers” Thanks for the chuckle. Just what I needed to end this day. I’m not sure but there may have been a Gomer (God rest his soul) involved there as well.

      • Anonymous

The U.S. Senate voted 85 to 13 confirming Condi Rice as the Secretary of State position.

        • Anonymous

yEAH IT IS WHAT HAPPENED AFTER……….

    • Anonymous

how about you consider this … they withheld info in order to CATCH the perpetrators and NOT tip them OFF??

    • Sherman2

flamers? What in H*** is that supposed to mean?
ANYONE saying ANYTHING in the Obama administration would have been roasted by Crazy McCain! Here they are complaining that the real story took over 14 days to come out, when it took the Bushies years to come out and many of them still deny the truth!
What a bunch of crybabies… take your little ball(s) and go home!

    • Anonymous

Who care? What does it really matter if it was called a terrorist attack or not? Does that really change anything? Are the families all of a sudden going to feel better because they died in a terrorist attack? We are literary talking about talking points, TALKING POINTS. They are not investigating anything that would actually prevent this from happening again. You know that stuff that lead up to the attack. No they want to talk about talking points AFTER the attack.

      • Anonymous

They DO know what happened before the attack, they held public hearing on it. Do a quick search and you will find it very interesting. All of Ambassador Stevens request for additional security were denied or not acted on.

        • Anonymous

So they are only arguing talking points then? Really what does it matter that it what it was called then? We are seriously arguing about when they called it a terrorist attack? Still gets us absolutely no where. The families are not going to all of a sudden be happy know those guys died in a terrorist attack instead of a riot. They need to start investigating what happen before and why certain decisions where made.

    • Anonymous

      You keep telling yourself that.

You might even get Mitt Romney elected president.

oh wait a minute, this just in ….

the election is over. better luck next time.

  • Anonymous

The old Republican white guys and their token female continue to blow Benghazi smoke up our butts to disguise their only goal ….. Kerry’s senate seat.

    • Anonymous

Trying to find out why four Americans die needlessly in Benghazi and the truth hidden for weeks is “blow Benghazi smoke” OK.

      • Anonymous

Come on Grampy you’ve been around long enough to know what standard Republican BS smells like after an election. Remember this is the same crew that lied a country into two wars and probably 20 others we’ll never know about. If they really want to find out what’s up why go after the messenger?? They’re fooling no one, but fools they are.

        • Anonymous

Smell pretty close to what the standard Democratic BS smells like as far as I can tell. I know it is still Bush fault. I know you are aware the Dems. have lied the country into a war or two(Bay of Tonkin). I still believe from Obama all the way down to the messenger they knew the truth of what really happen in Benghazi and continued to lie to the American people. And has you know, the winners get to write the history and the Dems. won so they telling it the way they want. (truth be damned)

          • Anonymous

Grampy I’m glad to see you still realize it’s Bush’s fault and will be his fault long past my life time and yours, what he did can’t be undone in one life time. The truth? this is politics lol, and your right as well about the truth, great to see we agree on something!

Honestly it would be wonderful to see Republicans make as big a deal out of theater and school shooting as they do Benghazi, I might believe it then, but they just allow unlimited ammo in clips instead if the truth be that damned.

          • JohnR

It’s the Gulf of Tonkin since you know soooooo much about history gramps you should know that the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution allowed Johnson to use conventional forces in Vietnam. We already had since the REPUBLICAN PRESIDENT EISENHOWER, special forces and CIA ops on the ground, training and fighting against the NVA and Viet Cong. But don’t let the truth get in the way of “your” narrative. Carry on.

          • Anonymous

I stand by my statement that a Democratic President (Johnson) lied to escalate the war in Vietnam. At 1500G, Captain Herrick (commander of the Maddox) ordered Ogier’s gun crews to open fire if the boats approached within ten thousand yards. At about 1505G, the Maddox
fired three rounds to warn off the communist boats. This initial action
was never reported by the Johnson administration, which insisted that
the Vietnamese boats fired first. Will let the truth speak for itself.

          • JohnR

“I know you are aware the Dems. have lied the country into a war or two(Bay of Tonkin).”

That was what you said, if you want to stand by that, fine, but it does not represent a “factual” narrative of what actually happened. I suggest you read………. oh never mind I have tried in the past to correct some of you Fox Bots falsehoods and never gotten anywhere so my new philosophy is why bother, now back to Fox and Gramps, where today’s discussion is the rewriting of history, as seen through RED glasses.

          • Anonymous

Why is it when someone calls one of you guys on the left, you always revert to insults.

          • JohnR

It is your “pretending” that we did not get involved in Vietnam until this incident that I called you on, you should go check the moving “Wall” an see the dates of the first KIA’s listed there. By the way no “war” was ever declared in Vietnam so your first statement is total BS. There I hope that clarifies it for you.

          • Anonymous

In my statement I used the word “escalate” and not the word “start” for a reason. Johnson use the lies about what happened in the Bay of Tonkin to openly use large numbers of troop Vietnam to take the “war” to a new level. Even though it was only a Police action..over 58K KIA sounds a lot like a war. Just as Dem. President Truman enter us into a Korean Police Action, with nearly another 58k KIA also called a war by many.

      • Anonymous

did anyone call for heads to roll when the Cole was blown up??

        • Anonymous

or the last time someone shot up a theater or school … its pure crap as a talking point.

        • Anonymous

Did anyone lie about how or why the Cole was blown up?

      • Anonymous

But that is not what they are doing, What they are doing is arguing about talking points. None of their investigation is involved in what happens BEFORE the attack. Only what the administration said happened AFTER. They are arguing talking points, that is all. Nothing they are talking about will help us at all. Nothing. They are not investigating anything BEFORE the attack.

      • Anonymous

        Oh puh-lease.

      • Anonymous

Yes that would be great, but they are not investigating that. What they are investigating is literary the talking points about AFTER the attack. They are not investigating anything BEFORE the attack. We know why they died. They dies in a terrorist attack, but what the Republicans want to investigate is why it took so long to call it that. Why it matters if we called it a terrorist attack right after or 14 days after I have no Idea. None of this involves what happend before the attack. Only after.

    • Anonymous

interesting …never thought of that .. you are probably right.

      • Anonymous

Yeah I said that a couple weeks back in post on here. It seemed like the only real answer given that John boy was leading the charge. It’s like they have a book of standard BS they use when they find themselves on the outside looking in. Either that or weapon sales in Az. need a boost cuz that is all McCain does lately is try to sell anyone with a trigger finger guns.

    • Anonymous

“The old Republican white guys”…You’re implying that McCain, Graham, etc are trying to prevent the confirmation of Susan Rice because of her race. It reminds me of 2004 when liberals tried to keep Condoleeza Rice from being nominated to the State Department and the scurrilous racial slurs that were lobbed against her by the so called ‘diversity’ crowd. (Look ’em up if you’ve forgotten).

      • Anonymous

actually no I’m not, I’m saying these old white guys will gladly destroy any ones career who stands in the way of them acquiring Kerry’s senate seat, regardless of race, call them the equal rights bad guys.

  • StillRelaxin

I suppose now that Trump has proven himself a fool for the umpteenth time and the whole birther movement has faded the GOP/Tea Party has to have something to fantasize about.

Americans were killed and it involved overseas diplomats. Would we really expect to be immediately told exactly what happened even IF anyone knew the facts for sure? I’ve NEVER viewed my government to operate in such a fashion. Might be nice if they did, but due to logic, logistics and security issues such a care free flow of information probably wouldn’t be possible or prudent.

    • Anonymous

They knew exactly what was happening because they were watching it unfold in real time via live video in the White House Situation Room. They knew that this was a calculated terrorist attack and they chose to go with a lie to prevent voters from losing faith in Obama’s foreign policy (“Al Qaeda is dead”) and – more importantly – finding out that the Benghazi attacks were tied to a gun running operation. We’ve been arming jihadists and it came back to bite us in a huge way.

      • Anonymous

Oh sure… and you were there…? If you are going to make such a claim, perhaps you’d like to provide something with which to substantiate it. Not Rush, not Faux News, not OReilly… something of substance… something that can be verified by official documents pointing in that direction… or at least by multiple credible sources… If you want to regurgitate the conspiracy theories of imbeciles that’s your prerogative but without providing something of substance, you got nothing….

        • Anonymous

Please stop watching MSNBC, you sound like a broken record.

          • Anonymous

I don’t watch MSNBC. Stupid presumption. Asking for something other than a empty claim is how an actual conversation takes place… You know… PROOF… Got any?

          • Anonymous

Faux Yous is all the proof many on here require. I’m sure the sissy war hawk crowd is itchin’ for another war, after all it’s been a while since they’ve ginned one up.

          • Sherman2

Is that a tacit admission that you watch Fox?

      • Anonymous

ever hear the phrase “loose lips sinks ships?” or know what it means? well McCain does .And HE at least should KNOW better . This is total baloney and WHY the R’s lost . they are just grabbing on to the last life preserver to try to save their political lives.

        • Anonymous

McCain is impulsive at times and does not communicate a reassuring, and steady, demeanor or manner. It was the same before the 2008 election and how out of his element he was about fixing the economy and communicating that. He acted like a duck out of water. He inspired a real lack of trust then and at other times. His choice of VP would be another indication….very poor judgment.

    • Anonymous

Yep..lying to the American people while it’s being investigation is the best way to do it, at least till the election is over. Instead of lying they could have just said it’s under investigation. A lie is a lie no matter who tells it or for whatever reason.

      • Anonymous

I believe they did say “it was under investigation ” .

      • StillRelaxin

Until a “lie” is proven to be a lie it’s really nothing more than gossip or conjecture. How much time do you think our government in this time of economic crisis should spend trying to make a truth into a lie that suits your agenda? Frankly I’ve moved on already on this issue. There are also lots of folks out here that believe that we “lied” about putting men on the moon. Most folks just chuckle at them and go about their day. Thanks for the chuckle, I’m moving on.

Anybody know how many private security contractors were killed in Iraq? Nope. But for some reason, we’re going to spend months investigating the deaths of these four, because they happened to occur in the middle of a presidential election. At least it gives the Right something to wring their hands about.

    • Anonymous

Not so. The deaths of 4 BlackWater security employees who were killed, burned, their bodies dragged through the streets and then suspended from a bridge to put their charred carcasses on display was an issue. The beheading of another contractor was another. Danny Pearl (Pakistan) was another.

      • Anonymous

There were a lot more than that who were killed. Become informed.

        • Anonymous

I know there were a lot more than 2 who were killed. My post was in response to someone who said that previous to Benghazi, those contractors who died in Iraq did not get the publicity of those that died in the Benghazi attack. The ones I mentioned got huge media coverage. And there were many more also. I am well informed.

I guess they could have have thought it was because of an anti-Islamic movie but i thought then and think now the date of attack is significant … September 11th. Sounds more terror related than a riot run a muck. Also once again our government was warned about rising tensions and just ignored it and let innocent Americans get slaughtered because they know not how to act in defense because American citizens are expendable. This also is just another lame duck practice of nothing get done in Washington as has been the case for many years and over the last several elections. I hope that the real reasons the Senators are disapproving is because she is not capable of such a position not that she only states what she is being told by the administration. Politics are way out of control in many regards and the oath to uphold the Constitution and the promises they all make when running to be the voice of the people has become a joke and is not happening. However, not all Senators and Representatives are this way but a few can’t change the ways of DC when the majority are their for a chosen few not the majority of their salary payers who just happen to be the majority of middle-class and lower middle-class who pay the majority of the ill gotten tax codes. Keep voting and changing the comfortable lifestyle that has been created by those who truly only care about their wallets and how much more money they can make before their time runs out. Time for the third party system –The People’s Party of Fairness to turn it all around and once again get people in positions they are qualified for not someone’s puppet.

  • JohnR

McHasbeen and Graham cracker along with the other GOP tools can go fool themselves if they like. Notice in all of this they are not concerned with “are we any closer to getting the bad actors involved”, or “what is the latest on tracking down the bad guys”. It’s all “there’s got to be hole here somewhere if we just keep digging maybe we can finally make him look bad”……………………All sounds like sour grapes over an a~~ whooping at the polls.

    • Anonymous

Did you consider that the whooping at the polls might not have happened had the administration told the truth ?

      • Anonymous

Did you consider that the people just don’t like the Rs policies and grid lock and tossed them out for MANY reasons?? war on women,. stand on immigration, war on workers, war on VOTERS …just to name a few?

Keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better.

Have a hot cup of Tea and some Bag Balm.

      • As much as the GOP hoped it would be a game changer, it wasn’t. I expect both parties and presidents to lie to me, though it seems one sides lies are bigger and more harmful than the others. In a general sense of course.

      • Anonymous

You underestimate the intelligence and savvy of the American people. They saw through Mitt Romney and his continual shift on almost all issues. They could not trust him. On top of that, those who feel that the economy is improving and on the correct path also has increased.
You are a bit mixed up about what many saw. It was not a lack of intelligence on their part. In fact, just the opposite.

  • Anonymous

Aww..why are they picking on poor Rice and Obama? Just because they lied and tried to cover up their incompetence they are not responsible for any of it. It was the movie that was the problem. Our community organizer evidently didn’t have Vallery Jarret give the okay to send help or to step up security. And the sheep will give this guy another free pass as long as he keeps giving them free stuff.

    • Anonymous

My thoughts too ! Political puppetry at it’s finest gone sour. Too bad that the political game of ” smoke and mirrors ” continues. ALL career politicians should repair the problems that they have created instead of creating new ones. I don’t think you’ll ever catch me voting for a career politician again. It is way past time for single term limits in this country. Even a political new comer can do better than these folks !

You spewed every Fox News talking point…almost word for word… typical…
The dumbing down of America continues.

      • Anonymous

You mean Fox news agrees with me? I am honored! Sorry, but Fox news isn’t on my daily news list and it doesn’t require a news agency to read the transcripts of the hearings and to listen to all the BS coming from the admin sources to figure out they are lying and doing everything possible to spin this. I know…I know…MSNBC should be required viewing. Maybe you should stop listening to them and do your own homework.

        • Sherman2

Sure it is, Fox and Feinds is on… hurry or you’ll miss them talking about how the democrats stole the election! LOL!

oh you mean the Harvard professor in Consitutional Law who chose to serve the public instead of his wallet?
…as opposed to some silver spoon guy in a hollow suit that would say anything he needed to say at any moment? The lyin flipflopping draft dodger? The guy who would be a puppet to special interests? That’s the guy you wanted? LOL! Sorry ’bout that homey! LOL!

They are not investigating anything that happened before the attack. You know that stuff that could have prevented it, the stuff that we could actually learn from. Do you think the families are all of a sudden going to feel better that they died in a terrorist attack?

  • Anonymous

Of course the Republicans are concerned. They want Democratic Senator Kerry to be the Sec. of State for the obvious reason that would open up his seat for Scott Brown to win in the special election. Republican resistance to Rice is pure politics and has nothing to do with her qualifications.

    • Anonymous

VERY interesting so the R political strategy continues… It’s not about America but it is STILL about winning..

  • Anonymous

McCain, Graham, and Ayottte are an insult to the Senate by making this into a conspiracy and witchhunt. The GOP turning this tragedy into partisan theatrics is just another reason why approval ratings of the body are so low. This is a waste of time, money, energy for the Senate to be engaged in.

    • Anonymous

ayotts voice was mighty shakey…she seemed to know what she was doing and saying was wrong.

      • Anonymous

I noticed that, too. And it’s not her first time in front of the cameras, so I wonder.

  • Anonymous

I hope McCain and other Republicans aren’t going to continue the “block everything” game for the next four years. Too many critical issues now and ahead for that. They need to grow up and do what’s best for our country. McCain needs to get over the fact that he lost and start moving ahead. In 2008 I admired his service and courage while in Vietnam, but now I’ve lost all respect for him as a politician.

“Intelligence officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, have said
they dropped references to possible al-Qaida connections to the attack
from initial accounts to protect intelligence sources, not the
    president’s re-election campaign.”

For them to even make that statement means that they dropped the references to keep it out of the campaign. Obama has created yet another presidential coverup.

Rumour and conjecture. whispers and lies. Anything to obstruct. That’s the republican way.

    • Anonymous

that is ONE great big giant leap of a conclusion.

OK so if they HAD said there was possible al qaidi connection, how would that have changed the campaign OR election out come one iota ? SERIOUSLY? What they heck do you think they were “covering up”?

    • Sherman2

Romney echoed every Obama talking point in the Foreign Policy debate… did you watch?
And from what has been discovered so far the group that attacked was splinter groups from al-Qaida and not that closely tied.

john McCain might benefit from a medical work-up to rule out dementia. more likely, all he needs is an effective laxitive.

    • Anonymous

Either that or his Depends are full making him a wee bit cranky?

McCain and Graham are tired old guys.

  • There were mistakes. Tragic of course, though when put in perspective, minute compared to other mistakes endured in the history of this country, most notably in the past decade. The attempts to make a molehill a mountain are just sad.

McCain really is an odd one to be leading the charge, given his expressed constant desire to make war. I will not say Obama has been perfect, though I’m pretty confident far more people in this world would be dead today (American and foreign) had McCain been our president.

When listening to the logic of the Clan McClown it reminds one of Monty Python, particularly the “Spanish Inquisition”

Call me old fashion, but going on five networks and telling bold face lies would disqualify one from even being considered for any position.

She didn’t lie though. She was relaying the information that was known/believed to be true at the time.

Testimony given under oath tells us differently.

          Who was under oath?

I know can you believe it? Rice told the nation that Sadaam had WMD’s!

  • Anonymous

The hypocrisy of these Republicans is astounding. We went to war because of actual lies. This woman relaying information that was known/believed to be true after the fact is the most egregious thing we should be concerning ourselves with? Please. Have some integrity and honesty — this is politics, plain and simple.

So no one questioned Rice or Powell with their false information? Hmm sounds like witch hunt. McCain is still looking to win the bet because of Vietnam. Graham sounds like a mad puppet, and as for Ayotte. Well she needs her tie in the limelight of stupdity.

Funny how when former Secretary of state Condalezza Rice goes public with the TOTAL LYING BS story about WMDs and mushroom clouds NOT A FREAKIN PEEP came out of the Rs.

    What a load of codswallop.

Nothing but a bunch of worthless partisan idiots trying to cause problems for someone in the administration.

They care naught for national security, they are simply trying to make political points.
The semi-retarded Susan Collins should just go back to sleep.
    Attendance isn’t performance.

Senator Collins meeting with Ms. Rice this morning, left the Sen. with many concerns. More answers are needed. Thank you Senator Collins.

    • Anonymous

lots of concerns huh? and no details, funny how that works.

“Republicans led by McCain have said Rice misled the public”

McCain is worried about someone misleading the public? you’ve got to be kidding? Every time McCain and most who speak for the Republicans open their mouths they mislead the public. If you review what John McCain has said, he is batting 1000 misleading the public on weekend talk shows since 2008.

“Bottom line, I’m more concerned now that I was before” <–That's not a bottom line.

Maybe they're concerned about those killed? It would be great if they would create such a stir when someone shoots up a theater or a school.

Let's watch as Republicans show they will eagerly sacrifice anyone who stands in the way of the senate seat they so desperately want, their real concern.
