I am happy that they included the name of her business in the story. I will be sure to never shop there.

How is a case like this allowed to get so out of hand??? Man, if I tried to do something like this, I’d be in the pokey!!! Just goes to show there are a lot of people out there with no conscience!!!

A couple of things caught my eye. With all of these dealings and her character proven what it is, she filed and paid taxes? Interestingly the judge must not consider fair rental value of any importance. The IRS however does when one rents a home for a price that is considered below the going market price of the region. I have no doubt most of us would be sitting in the “pokey” indefinitely.

What’s with some of these phony-baloney out of staters who come up here and flaunt their so-called wealth? Do they really think they’re fooling the natives?
Mainers have an uncanny ability to see through people like that and are hardly impressed by them.

I own a few rental properties, in the past 15 years the costs to the Courts and Sheriffs total a little over $9,500.00 dollars, to bring a lot of deadbeats before the Judge. This has resulted in awards (Judgments) of over $50,000.00, of which I have been able to collect about $500.00, as nobody will enforce these worthless pieces of paper. The Courts are corrupt, and the Laws as written, actually protect the useless
    scum.
