VAN BUREN AND CARIBOU – Rosella Dickinson, 101, died Nov. 23, 2012, at a Van Buren health care facility. She was born Oct. 1, 1911, in Frenchville, the daughter of Xavier and Melvina (Blier) Fongemie.
She was a hard worker all her life, being employed by American Kitchen Foods and then Potato Service, Presque Isle. She was married to Alfred Gagnon of Van Buren, until his death in 1950, and then was married to Basil Dickinson of Caribou, until his death in 1994. She had been a resident at Borderview, Van Buren, for the past 10 years.
She is survived by one stepdaughter, Loretta Dube of Cherryfield; one brother, Jules Fongemie of Connecticut; three grandchildren, Michael Dube and wife, Karen, Roberta Dube and Jeffrey Dube and his wife, Kimberly; and six great-grandchildren, Brian Dube and his wife, Kristy, Lyndsie, Nicole, Andrew, Jacob and Joshua Dube. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was predeceased by four brothers, Leo, Maurice, Albert and Claude Fongemie; and four sisters, Connie Purdy, Florence Beaulieu, Doris Ouellette and Priscilla Guerrette.
Relatives and friends may call noon until the time of service Monday at Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren, where a funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Interment will be after the service at St. Bruno Cemetery.
