Three adults, 12 juveniles charged with drinking offenses

BLUE HILL, Maine — Three adults and a dozen juveniles were charged with alcohol-related offenses after deputies with the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department responded to a noise complaint about 11:30 p.m. Friday.

Alison Carey, 57, of Blue Hill was charged with furnishing a place for minors to consume alcohol, a Class D crime, according the sheriff’s office. Alex Buzzell, 18, of Ellsworth and James Szasz, 18, of Blue Hill were charged with possession of alcohol by a minor.

The juveniles, who names were not released were issued summons for underage drinking.

Correction: An earlier version of this story contained an error. Alison Carey, 57, of Blue Hill was charged with furnishing a place for minors to consume alcohol, a Class D crime, according to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department. She was not charged with furnishing alcohol to minors.
