    I am glad to see another one of your articles as I find it difficult to look them up under the present format and was afraid you no longer did them.

    Clubs made a lot of sense when you are strangers in town and a minority at that. It creates a safe place where you are not the odd man out and never have to explain what you are doing nor what you believe.

    This still happens as organizations are created to create events for different groups, such as gays, Pagans, Sci Fi fans, hot rod fans, or even disabled people. So people still need to have a place where they fit in and probably always will.
