BANGOR – Joseph I. Ward, 35, died unexpectedly Nov. 18, 2012. He was born March 3, 1977, in Bangor, son of Ardene G. and Florence (Reynolds) Ward.
He was a graduate of Bangor Christian School, class of 1995, and Teen Challenge New England. Joseph worked at Teen Challenge of Maine and prided himself in helping others in Teen Challenge. He loved music, his guitar and composed and recorded numerous songs. He also had a passion for cooking and will be remembered as a great cook.
Surviving in addition to his father, Ardene G. Ward and his stepmother, Karen, of Corinth, are his wife, Rachel Littlefield Ward of Bangor; two stepchildren, Elijah and Lindsay; one brother, the Rev. Matthew Ward and his wife, Darcy, of Corinth; two nieces, Mariah and Macy; and one nephew, Micah. Joseph was predeceased by his mother, Florence Ward.
A celebration of Joseph’s life will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Tiff Shuttlesworth, president and founder of Lost Lamb Association, officiating.
