“The last thing Benjamin Johnson III ever did is what made tears well up in the eyes of the men and women he worked with, some who struggled to speak about the friend they lost a week ago.”

My eyes, too. I did not know him. Rest easy with your family, Ben. I am glad you will always be together.

A beautiful Maine family. This is so incredibly sad.

The last thing the family wanted there was a news reporter. Please BDN, show some compassion and let a grieving, hurting family do so without any intruders.

No matter how many stories they tell of this man and his love of family is just so heartbreaking. As I said before there is no better man who died a hero trying to save his family. As hard as it is for this is for his wife and family there must be such peace that this dad is with his four children and still protecting them. Someday they will all be forever joined in eternal life and hope that brings joy to their hearts. I know that Christine must have fought so many emotions and the pain will never fully go away but I hope there is a great deal of comfort that they all are with her forever in her heart and she was saved by Ben and she will do great things with the rest of her earthly life. May peace and comfort embrace this woman and may her journey be calm and comforted by all the love from friends and strangers whose hearts bleed for her. RIP Benjamin, Ben, Leslie and Ryan in your eternal lives. May your souls fly as angels and may your flights be together as a family always.

Was this the reporter who was inside the funeral home? Inside and taking notes while some people are struggling to make it through the most painful day of their lives? How shameful BDN. Leave this woman and her family and friends alone at this point. Yesterday should have been a private gathering while coping with tragedy was violated by one of your representatives. I will be canceling my subscription.
