Love conquers all! No doubt that the key to Molly’s survival was she knew her owners would come for her. This proves that the bond between humans and their pets can be amazing.

  • John Eastman

This touching story reminds me of a another black lab, also named Molly, that traveled approximately 200 miles through the Maine wilderness after her owner’s boat capsized on the Allagash Wilderness waterway.

And certainly don’t forget Dodger, the Maine beagle that was held captive by momma bear in her den while rabbit hunting, thinking he was one of her own.

It never ceases to amaze me what our furry friends are capable of. Glad to read of the happy ending to this touching story.

Have some dignity and respect. My word, is it your desire to bring other’s to your level? Or do you just do this naturally?

So very happy for you and Molly! I stopped and looked for her at the accident site on Thursday afternoon, walking slowly along the road and softly called her name so as not to scare her if she were there. I thought I heard a whimper in the beginning, but saw no sign of her. The traffic was heavy and it was very noisy. I was concerned that if she walked out to the road that she would be hit by a vehicle. So thankful that you found her and hope Powell and Molly heal quickly. Best of luck.

That poor dog must have been so cold and hungry and thirsty all week. Thank god she made it. What a Good Dog!!!!

  • Great! News! I am so glad she is home……!

  • Scott Harriman

“Police said that wet roads may have caused the crash.”

Total BS. Roads are inanimate objects — they cannot “cause” crashes any more than trees or rocks can.

People deciding to drive too fast for the conditions are most likely to blame.

  • Martha Condon

Thank God ! We have had labs for years and they are the best !
