Belfast man indicted, accused of $12,000 in copper-theft damages

BELFAST, Maine — A man accused of causing at least $12,000 in damage to homes during an alleged copper pipe crime spree is among the 46 people indicted this quarter by the Waldo County Grand Jury.

Among the places that Gene H. Larrabee, 34, of Belfast is accused of vandalizing is the Belfast residence where Amber Cummings shot and killed her husband, James Cummings, in December 2008. According to the indictment lists, which were released Friday, Larrabee caused at least $2,000 worth of damage to that home in early 2012.

Altogether, he was charged with six counts of burglary, seven counts of theft by unauthorized taking and six counts of aggravated criminal mischief in a series of copper thefts which began in May 2011 and lasted until March 2012.

Scott F. Mosher, 44, Montville, domestic violence assault.

Scott Swift, Belfast, 25, two counts trafficking in oxycodone.

Cameron Philbrook, 37, Belmont, trafficking in oxycodone.

Michelle Leadbetter, 39, Belfast, trafficking in vicodin.

Wendell Corey, 34, Northport, trafficking in oxycodone.

Laurel Belden, 38, Belfast, two counts trafficking in hydrocodone.

Thomas Merrill, 26, Belfast, two counts trafficking in morphine.

Andrea Walsh, 41, Swanville, trafficking in hydrocodone.

Sheryl Warman, 45, Stockton Springs, two counts trafficking in hydrocodone.

Mark Meierdirk, 39, Unity, two counts trafficking in oxycodone, making a false public alarm or report.

Rodney Glidden, 61, Palermo, two counts aggravated trafficking in oxycodone, unlawful possession of hydrocodone, criminal forfeiture of $1,860.
