Brunswick woman killed in two-vehicle Topsham crash

Topsham firefighters work to free the driver of a car involved in a two-vehicle crash at the Topsham Fair Mall this afternoon near Ruby Tuesday. Despite their efforts, the 79-year-old Brunswick woman died at the scene. The other driver was not injured.

TOPSHAM, Maine — A two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon claimed the life of a 79-year-old Brunswick woman.

Topsham police Lt. Fred Dunn said it appears a Toyota Camry driven by Sally Lemieux of Brunswick pulled out of the parking lot by Ruby Tuesday’s and was struck on the driver’s side by a Jeep Wrangler driving southbound on Topsham Fair Mall Road.

The Jeep was driven by 25-year-old Renne Ettinger of Topsham. Lemieux died at the scene.

The crash, which occurred shortly after 3 p.m., remains under investigation. Officers from the Brunswick Police Department are reconstructing the crash.
