Police looking for lone suspect in County armed robbery

CARIBOU, Maine — Caribou police are looking for an unidentified white male in connection with an armed robbery Saturday night at a local restaurant.

A lone white male entered Cindy’s Sub Shop on Sweden Street around 7:40 p.m. and left with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to information released by the Caribou Police Department early Sunday afternoon.

The subject is described as approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark bandana and sunglasses.

Physical evidence left at the scene by the suspect is being processed by members the Caribou Police Department assisted by members of the Presque Isle Police Department’s K-9 unit, the Maine State Police, Aroostook County Sheriff’s Department and the Border Patrol, according to the release.
