OLD TOWN AND ROCKLEDGE, FLA. – Joyce Marie LaForge, 70, wife of Alphonse “Skip” LaForge, passed away Nov. 5, 2012, at home after a five-year battle with lung cancer. Joyce was born April 4, 1942, in Old Town, daughter of Robert Stewart and Rita (Grant) Clukey.
Joyce graduated from Old Town High School, class of 1960. She married Alphonse “Skip” LaForge, Jan. 28, 1961. Joyce and Skip moved to Florida in 2001.
Joyce was predeceased by her parents; and sister, Jane Stewart. She is survived by her husband; son, Robert and partner, Annie, of York, Pa.; sisters, Patricia Lyons and fiance, Michael Gerling, of Palmetto, Fla., Marjorie Nadeau and husband, Peter, of Otis and Dorothy Stewart of Cherryfield; brothers, James Stewart of Oklahoma and John Clukey of Delaware; sister-in-law, Theresa Cavanaugh of Milford; many nieces and nephews.
Burial will be at a later date in Old Town. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society.
