Christensen leads UMFK women past CMCC

AUBURN — Ericka Christensen scored 15 points and grabbed 17 rebounds to help lead the University of Maine-Fort Kent to a 78-74 women’s basketball victory over Central Maine Community College Thursday night.

Jenn Colpitts chipped in with 18 points and nine rebounds for UMFK and Taylor Boucher added 17 points. Colpitts also had seven steals and three assists.

CMCC took a 37-36 lead at halftime and maintained a lead into the second half, but UMFK forced turnovers and was strong from the foul line, hitting 23 of 29 attempts.

Maggie Sabine paced CMCC with 26 points and 10 rebounds and Susie French added 25 points.
