Shorey leading Cardinale in Waldo County commissioner race

BELFAST, Maine — With 27 percent of voting districts reporting at about midnight Tuesday, incumbent Democratic Waldo County Commissioner William Shorey led Republican challenger Andrew Cardinale, 1,055-554.

Cardinale is currently a dispatcher for the county’s emergency call center and lives in Swanville. Shorey lives in Searsport. The district includes those towns and Frankfort, Jackson, Monroe, Prospect, Stockton Springs and Winterport. printed on August 17, 2017
