CAMDEN, Maine — Voters Tuesday approved changes to the town’s zoning ordinance covering business signs and nonconforming buildings.

The amendments to the sign ordinance, which offered different options for downtown businesses and out-of-town home occupations, won approval by a 1,772-1186 vote.

The amendments to the nonconformance portion of the zoning ordinance, which will allow buildings in zones where their use is no longer allowed the option of expanding up to 30 percent in size, also won approval, 1,704-1,135.
