You’d think by now people would know to keep their eyes on the road.

That person was probaboly texting with the other hand and had one eye on the phone and the other on the escaped bottle of water.  Glad no one was hurt this time.

About 15 years ago, I was rear ended by a vehicle driven by a woman who dropped her cigarette. She never saw me stopped at the red light (or the red light apparently). She and her passenger got out of the vehicle holding drinks in glasses. I am betting it was not fruit punch. Then she didn’t want to trade papers because her license had her SS# (Mass Lic). Both of my little ones were in the back seat screaming. I explained if she did not exchange ins info, I would take her plate number and turn her in for hit and run. My six year old was complaining of neck pain while my three year old said he was fine, until they tried to move him at the hospital. He wanted to stay in the car and finally admitted to a “boo-boo” on his back.

Keep your eyes on the road. If you drop something pull over and retrieve it. Don’t risk hurting yourself or someone else.

How hard is it to determine that this woman’s poor decision-making led to this crash?

A water bottle, really?  That’s the best she could come up with?  That is one important water bottle, must have been really thirsty.

She didn’t want the spilt water to stain the carpet in her 15 year old Ford.
