ROCKLAND, Maine — A 46-year-old Tenants Harbor man who has been free on bail since his arrest last month for home burglaries was arrested Friday night and charged with two more residential break-ins, according to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office.

Ricky Block was arrested about six hours after the sheriff’s office received reports between 4 and 4:30 p.m. that two homes were robbed on Long Cove Road in St. George, according to Knox County Chief Deputy Tim Carroll.

At one home, valuable jewelry, a television and many other valuable items were reported stolen. About 100 yards away, several items were taken.

Deputy Nathaniel Jack and Sgt. Michael Sprague responded to the burglary calls and found key evidence, according to Carroll. Several neighbors reported seeing a vehicle that matched Block’s vehicle. A search of Block’s residence and vehicle turned up additional evidence linking him to the break-ins, and he was arrested for two counts of burglary, three counts of theft, one count of criminal mischief and one count of violating a condition of release.

Block was taken to the Knox County Jail and remained there Sunday afternoon.

The incidents remain under investigation.

Block had been arrested Oct. 19 and charged with burglary and was linked to three residential burglaries in Thomaston, one in Rockland and several others in Knox County. Police had said Block was cooperating with investigators on solving burglaries.
