Hunters meals on tap

Several hunters breakfasts and dinners are on tap in the coming weeks. Here’s a partial list:

Nov. 3

DEXTER — Hunters breakfast, 5-9 a.m. at the Dexter Grange, 6 Church St. Eggs to order, sausage, bacon, sausage gravy, biscuits, pancakes, french toast, homemade toast, home fries, coffee, orange juice. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for ages 6-11, free for 5 and younger. Proceeds to help support scouting.

DIXMONT — Dixmont Gold Crest Riders Snowmobile Club hunters breakfast, 5:30-8:30 a.m. at the clubhouse, Cates Road. Eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, homemade bread toast, homemade donuts, orange juice, coffee. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children younger than 12. Rifle raffle winner will be drawn at 8:30 a.m.

EASTBROOK — Cave Hill School hunters breakfast, 4-10 a.m. at the school, 1205 Eastrook Road. Pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, baked beans. Presale tickets $6 for adults, $4 for age 12 and younger; $7 for adults at the door, $5 for children, Thanksgiving gift basket raffle, all proceeds to help fund a playground at the school.

FORT FAIRFIELD — Class of 2013 hunters breakfast, 5-9 a.m. at the Knights of Columbus hall, Main Street. Cost is $5 per person.

MARIAVILLE — Benefit hunters breakfast, 5-9 a.m. at Mariaville Grange. Eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, pancakes. Cost is $7. Gun raffle proceeds go toward stocking shelves for the What’s For Suppa? food pantry.

ORRINGTON — Hunters breakfast, 4-9 a.m. at Calvary Christian School, 154 River Road. Cost is $7 for adults, $5 for children. Proceeds will support the schools.

PROSPECT — Hunters breakfast, 5-9 a.m. at the Prospect Community Center, Route 1A. Cost is $6 for adults, $2 for children younger than 12. Tickets for a 50-50 raffle will be sold at the door, with proceeds to benefit building maintenance fund and community projects.

UNITY — Hunters supper, 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 108 Windemere Lane. Baked beans, hot dogs, rolls, casseroles, salads, beverages, desserts. Door prizes all evening and raffles for two hunting rifles. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children.

Nov. 9

GARLAND — Hunters boiled public dinner, 5-7 p.m. at Garland Grange Hall, Oliver Hill Road. Corned beef, ham, cabbage, carrots, onions, turnip, squash, beets, bread and desserts. Cost is $7 for adults, $3 for children ages 5-12, free for children under 5. Takeout available. Proceeds to benefit Garland Grange community service projects. Call 924-6954.

Nov. 10

ATKINSON — Hunters breakfast, 4:30-8 a.m. at United Methodist Church. Beans, eggs, sausage, biscuits, home fries, juice and coffee. Cost is $4 for adults, $2 for children younger than 12.

BAILEYVILLE — Hunters breakfast, 5-9 a.m. at Odd Fellows Hall, 11 Hillside Ave. Sausage, bacon, eggs, pancakes, home fries, orange juice, toast, baked beans, coffee, tea, hot cocoa. Cost is $7 for adults, $4 for children younger than 10.

EDDINGTON — Eddington Salmon Club hunters breakfast, 6-10 a.m. at the club, routes 9 and 178. Eggs to order, ham, home fries, biscuits, baked beans, pancakes, coffee, tea, juice. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children younger than 12.

GUILFORD — Hunters breakfast, 4-8 a.m. at Masonic Lodge, Hudson Avenue. Pancakes, toast, baked beans, eggs, sausage, doughnuts, juice, coffee, tea. Admission by donation, with all proceeds go toward student trip in June. For information, call 717-5271.

MONROE — Monroe Lions Club hunters breakfast, 5-10 a.m. at Monroe Church, Route 139. Pancakes, home fries, eggs, baked beans, ham, sausage, toast, coffee. Cost is $7 for adults, $3 for children, with proceeds benefit community youth activities.

PROSPECT — Prospect Volunteer Fire Department hunters breakfast, 4-8 a.m. at the Prospect Community Club Building. Eggs, ham, home fries, baked beans, toast, biscuits, doughnuts, coffee, juice. Cost is $6 adults, $2 children younger than 12. A 50-50 drawing will be held.

Nov. 17

GREENVILLE — Hunters steak supper, 5-8 p.m. at American Legion Post 94. Cost is $15 per person. BYOB. Thirty turkeys will be raffled off, with proceeds to benefit high school scholarships.
