    BC 6
    Maine 1 on Friday

    UNH 5
    Maine 0 on Sunday

    No reason to think otherwise.

I hear you loud and clear…but I’m still pulling for Morris for both games…you think TW will “DARE” it……………………………NOT a Chance….

    • Is BC going to pull the goalie because that’s the only way Maine scores against them.

are you kidding me? only 6 goals for BC? double digits, i predict!

Start  Morris both games and Sullivan can backup the BC game and Ouellette can backup the UNH game…time to go to the youth movement…never to early to start a Freshman and go from there….at 1-6-0 its time to shake things up and while there at it play Riley & Williams on defense instead of at Forward….shake the lines up also with some Freshman pushing out a few Upper Classman….

    • Doesn’t matter who they put in it’s a lost cause. The coaching is poor and the talent level looks like the Semler days.

Semler days? I was up there for the first 2 years in D1 and they were nationally ranked. Semler was D1 coach of the year in just his 2nd year, they had plenty of talent, Conn, Aubut, Crespi,Hughes etc It all fell apart after that so don’t confuse those first couple of years with what happened shortly after.

Uh, Sullivan, I think you’re going to find that this weekend is in fact NOT “going to be fun”.  In fact, nothing you’re doing should be fun when you’re 1-6 against creampuffs.

  • What a disaster this program is. What other team has 3 scholarship goalies and to make it worse he can’t even figure out who he is going to start.

    7-0 BC
    5-1 UNH

    26-19 UM over JMU

    • JG

      8-0 BC
      7-2 UNH
      Whitehead 0 / Juicy Fruit 5

    • BC 6 Maine 0
      UNH 6 Maine 0

      JMU 31 Maine 7

Matt Morris is only hoping that this is the only year he has to endure having Whitehead as a “coach” and that his former coach, Jim Montgomery, will show up next year to save this program.  Every week that Whitehead doesn’t resign is just plain shameful.

UMO wins this one in a cake walk

Ahh yes the three goalie system. It worked wonders two years ago with Marty, Sully, and Sirman. Why not turn to it again…

As a longtime Maine Hockey fan I just can’t justify paying to attend games at this point. It ends up costing me in the range of $100.00 a game to be there. (Tickets, gas, and food.)  Fortunately the parking is free for now. I really want to support the program as a whole, but, I feel that at this point that support by fans is actually hurting the program. As long as attendance and donations stay strong, Whitehead will be there. Steve Abbott won’t have a great reason (unless he all of a sudden gets tired of mediocrity) to remove Whitehead. Let’s hope that there are plenty of empty seats tonight. I do hope that the students show up to support the team. They are mostly on campus and get in free anyway.

UMO carries 3 goalies so that 1 can be unceramoniously “fired” at season’s end, you know, the obvious reason for the program’s demise.
