Town council, school board seats up for election in Pittsfield

PITTSFIELD, Maine — Three town council and three SAD 53 board of directors seats are on the Nov. 6 ballot in Pittsfield.

Incumbent Robert Stackhouse and Michael Cianchette are running for the councilor-at-large seat on town council.

Timothy Nichols is the only person running for the District 1 council seat, a position he currently holds.

Heather Donahue and John Ring Sr. are vying for the District 4 seat. It is currently occupied by Councilor Louise Baker, who is is not running for re-election.

All three seats are three-year terms.

Three School Administrative District 53 board of directors seats are also on the ballot.

Dale Martin Jr. and Peter Snow, who are currently directors, are running again. Kelley Carter and Katrina McCarron are also vying for the seats.

The board of directors positions are three-year terms. However, the person elected to fill the void left by Nanette Ardry, who resigned, will serve the rest of Ardry’s term, which expires next November.

Pittsfield residents may vote on Nov. 6 at the town office from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
