CORRECTION:

An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated that Charles Gardner, Brandon Summerson, Henry R. McKinnon and John T. McKinnon all were indicted on charges of elevated aggravated assault. Only Gardner, 20, of Howland was indicted on that charge. Also, the victims suffered broken facial bones, broken ribs and knocked-out teeth when they were attacked after stopping by to get drugs they paid for and learning their money was used to buy beer, according to a previously published report.
