TURNER | A Livermore Falls man whose “Yes on 1” signs were disappearing from the Route 4 roadside said he was the one who left a cryptic note for the thieves. But Allen Parker told the Sun Journal on Saturday he was not responsible for the recent disappearance of …

Sounds more and more like the folks who own/control the statute removed it themselves to gin up some free publicity and to whine about someone else and pretend that they were victims of the illegal acts THEY had been committing (stealing signs).

      Black helicopters – watch out!!!

Thank you for reaffirming my theory’s soundness with your utter inability to counter it in any way!

Looks like some No on 1 proponents may be playing the martyr game, as well as possible sign altering (including position).

Been reading up on the old reverse psychology strategy, eh?

        Not really, have you?

Too bad the couple who placed the nation’s symbol of freedom and liberty out there with their no on 1 signs just don’t get the mixed message they are sending.  Their position is one of curtailing liberty and freedom for all Mainers and yet they use the National symbol for Liberty and Freedom to try and make their point.

Well, you’d have to understand liberty to actually be able to comment on it in a adequate manner, so no surprise with the often-repeated, braindead argument from the Yes on 1 crowd regarding liberty.

Liberty does not include a so-called ‘right’ to redefine the definitions of social contracts that literally has millenia of history behind it, simply to allow a tiny faction of our population to participate in the immoral, redistributive tax system we have instilled upon labor and wealth.  Sigining these couples up to the tax roles as ‘married’ does nothing but further abrogate the remaining population’s liberty by raiding their labor and wallets to a greater extent than it already is now.  That is not liberty sir, that is tyranny and it is exactly what a yes vote on question 1 stands for.

giggle…you’re a funny guy.  Nice opinion about liberty though….liberty for all…except for people struggling to live and love together. Nice

Let’s make the playing field even for everyone your way:  no Social Security Survivor benefit for spouses, no tax breaks for married couples, no direct inheritance to spouses, no hospital visitation for spouses, no benefit of any kind to anyone that others don’t get.Social contracts are redefined every day, when you realize something is wrong you right it. Just because something’s been around for years doesn’t make it right. You sound like a plantation owner from the old south, friend. Your blustering and sputtering holds no water here.

    Curioser and curioser.
Glad the symbol of freedom is back.
      No matter where she was.

I remember a little while ago when the Gorilla
from Sandys Sales in Machias disappeared.
    Quite concerning, all in all.
Someone on facebook said they thought that garden gnomes
may have a hand in the dark doings.
Lets hope it hasn’t come to that.
