FRENCHVILLE and ST. FRANCIS – Laurine L. Lazore, 86, died peacefully Oct. 25, 2012, at a Frenchville health care facility. She was born Aug. 19, 1926, in St. Francis, the daughter of William and Amanda (McPherson) Pelletier.
Laurine worked as a certified nurse’s aide 12 years for Visiting Nurses of Aroostook. Laurine enjoyed doing word find puzzles, knitting, and playing Charlie.
She is survived by her daughter, Paula and her husband, Darvin Michaud; her three sons, Darrell Lazore, Earl and his wife, Doris Lazore, all of Bristol, Conn., and Stacey and his wife, Rose Lazore, of St. Francis; five grandchildren, Chris, Michelle, Crystal, Jenell and Kellie; one brother, Omar and his wife, Josephine Pelletier, of Watertown, Conn.; four sisters, Iona and her husband, Roger Jandreau, of Wilcot, Conn., Viola and her husband, Patrick Plourde, of Old Orchard Beach, Patricia Taxton of Tampa, Fla., and Dianna “Babe” and her husband, Robert Jandreau, of Fort Kent; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Stanley Lazore, in 1998; a grandson, Gerald Michaud, in 1987; five sisters, Irene Pelletier, Geneva Williams, Eula Trojano, Rita Cress and Margaret Standish; and six brothers, Stellman, Leon, John, George, Alphie and Joe Pelletier.
Friends may call 8:30-9:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 29, at Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at St. Charles Catholic Church, St. Francis. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate in her memory to Edgar J. Paradis Cancer Fund, 194 East Main St., Fort Kent, ME 04743. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
