HOULTON – Ruth Velzora MacDonald, 93, died Oct. 21, 2012, at a local health care facility. She was born July 19, 1919, in Monticello, daughter of George and Verla (Crouse) Grass.

Ruth was a lifetime member of the Rebekah’s. She taught ceramics at Houlton Recreation for many years.

Ruth is survived by her children, Wayne MacDonald of Houlton, Douglas MacDonald of Oakfield, Eldora Atkinson and husband, John, of Debec, New Brunswick, and Susan Carmichael and husband, Jeff, of Houlton; five grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Garold.

Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Dunn Funeral Home where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery. Gifts may be made in Ruth’s memory to Ruth V.
