It was Mitt’s binder falling off his desk in Massachusetts.

    SEE YA!  I’m outta here!

That was one of the most riveting videos I have ever seen.  I feel duped for watching it and the unfortunate part is that I am not going to get that minute and 54 seconds back.

I’m sure you would have wasted it in another way, like by typing out that pointless comment. I found the video quite entertaining, whole room jumped.

To each their own.  Glad you enjoyed it.  One could argue the equal pointlessness of both my comment and your comment.

True, most comments are pointless. We can be a sad bunch of folks sometimes.

..including me, who “liked” the last 3 comments!

…and me.  On the other hand, these comment sections are very often more entertaining than the original story.  Remember Statler and Waldorf on the Muppets, the two old geezers who sat above the stage and heckled everyone else?  I guess that’s us.

            That was wonderful!
            – Bravo!
            – I loved that!
            – Ah, that was great!
            – Well, it was pretty good.
            – Well, it wasn’t bad…
            – Uh, there were parts of it that weren’t very good though.
            – It could have been a lot better.
            – I didn’t really like it.
            – It was pretty terrible.
            – It was bad.
            – It was awful!
            – It was terrible!
            – Take ’em away!
            – Bah, boo!
            – Boo!

I didn’t feel anything in Carmel, Maine!?

The most striking thing in that video is noting a town meeting run by grossly over weight gray hairs

       This is news to you?

Maybe you thin, younger folks want to do some of the work… huh?

      • Scott Harriman

Sorry, we don’t have loads of cash to live off while getting paid next to nothing for a civil service job.

This is a common problem in small-town governments.

        • Vannessa

I’m confused what pay has to do with it?

          • Scott Harriman

These town council/selectman positions do not pay very much, if anything, yet require a significant time commitment.

In order to serve in such a position, one needs to have a lot of money to pay for living expenses since they don’t have a regular income.

This often excludes younger people from these positions because they usually do not have as much money as older people do.

To many aspiring, young attrnys in love with themselves and dreaming
of being the next Jock, Angus, Baldy or god forbid, Paully.  Doesn’t take much to keep from looking like beach ball with legs.

Please…show us all a picture of yourself so we know what a perfect person looks like and then if we agree we will hang your photo right next to Our Lord Jesus Christ. Better yet, it would make great viewing by locals to see your face at the meeting instead of everyone else you deem fat.

The most striking thing about that comment is how rude it is.

        Yes. It was. I agree.

They are meeting again next week and the week after to come to an agreement if it was indeed an earthquake.

We were at China Hill in Ellsworth and I thought it was just the volcano bowl erupting.
