A lot of people have had success by staying right here in the Bangor area. Drive around and you will see a lot of very nice houses and very nice lifestyles. You have to leave sometimes to appreciate what you have right here at home. I have relatives who make a career right here in Bangor and they live in 300k+ homes and a brand new Lexus. Look at the professionals that live here right now and ask them why they chose Bangor. Don’t talk to the ones who have screwed up their own lives and want to blame it on the area instead of themselves. That is the lamest excuse out there. You are your own success and it has nothing to do about where you live. And people don’t realize that living in a bigger city means that 400,000 other people will fight you for that same career. The grass is the same anywhere you go, it is just balanced differently. You can make it anywhere in this life. Creativity is your best asset.
