Yvonne M. Caron

MILLINOCKET – Yvonne M. Caron, 86, wife of the late Sylvio Caron, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, at a Millinocket hospital. She was born Nov. 25, 1925, in Soldier Pond, the daughter of Philias and Laura (Lafrance) Deschaine.

Yvonne was very active in RSVP Meals for Me for 19 years, and was a member of Donald V. Henry Post No. 80 and Elliott Stinson Post No. 4154, Veterans of Foreign Wars. She was also president of the Plus and Minus Club for a few years, and a member of AARP, Millinocket. Yvonne enjoyed playing cards with her friends, as well as crocheting and doing crafts. She loved making quilts and gardening. She also volunteered at Katahdin Nursing Home.

Yvonne is survived by five children, who were all close to her heart, Richard Cote Jr. and his wife, Dianna, of Millinocket, Robert Cote and his wife, Betty, of West Sebois, Sharon Hamilton and her husband, Linwood, Linda Langlais and Joann Gilbert and her husband, Alan, all of Millinocket; 15 wonderful grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Willard Deschaine and his wife, Judy, of Meriden, Conn., and Leo Martin and his wife, Linda, of St. Louis; three sisters, Marie Beaulieu of Portland, Wellena Voisine of Fort Kent and Joan Goslin of Presque Isle; a godchild, Lisa Boucher of Fort Kent; a very special friend and hairdresser for 42 years, Lorena King; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, Yvonne was predeceased by a grandson, Michael Cote; a sister, Cora Boutot; her beloved white poodle, Michelle; and her cat, Michelle.
