U.S. Senate candidate Cynthia Dill of Cape Elizabeth fell in love with Maine after taking an extended camping trip to the state as a newlywed. She decided she wanted to live, work, raise a family and make a difference in Maine after seeing Baxter State Park and Acadia National Park. She believes stereotypes painting her as liberal lawyer from Cape Elizabeth will fall by the wayside when voters get to know her and her story. She points to how she’s worked since she was 14 years old and how she grew up the second youngest of nine children of a single mother.
