HOULTON – Christine Caron Crawford, 97, died Oct. 10, 2012, at a local health care facility. She was born April 27, 1915, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Samuel and Christy (Castonguay) Caron.
Christine was a communicant of Saint Mary of the Visitation Church. She was seamstress, knit and was an avid quilter. She loved being with and playing with children. Christine lived in New York City and Florida, and came home to Houlton in 2010.
Christine is survived by her son, John Allen Crawford and his wife, Stacey; her daughter, Pamela Dorta; her grandchildren, Marie Dooley and her husband, Brian, and their sons, Sean, Connor and Ciaran Dooley; Marjorie Lasnetski and her daughters, Abbie and Aimee Lasnetski; Christine Blandino and her husband, Peter, and their children, Holly, Coby and Nicole Grant; and John Ray Noyes Crawford and his wife, Shelby, and their child, Gracie Mae Call; sister, Mary Ann “Blanch” Cyr; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, John; brothers, HeLaire, Zenon and Claud Caron; and sister, Amanda Dunphy. The family thanks Gardiner Healthcare Facility nurses and staff for their kind and loving care.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday at Saint Mary of the Visitation Church with the Rev. David Raymond, celebrant. Interment will be at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery.
