Orono girls soccer gains tie with Old Town

OLD TOWN, Maine — A goal by Orono’s Kayla Marquis tied Thursday’s girls soccer game with Old Town 2:18 into the second half and it finished as a 1-1 tie.

The Coyotes took a 1-0 lead at the 25:46 mark of the first half. Brittany Cousins lofted the ball into the path of Rachel Martin, who knocked it home.

Vicki Goodwin and Elizabeth Hardison combined to make six saves on seven shots for Orono.

Kayla Madden made one save on two shots for Old Town.

JV: Old Town 2-0
