Dana M. Harrington Jr.

ABBOT – Dana M. Harrington Jr., 83, passed away peacefully Oct. 10, 2012, in Pittsfield, with his family at his side, with “Country Roads” playing in the background. He was born Feb. 12, 1929, in Guilford, son of Dana and Gladys (Bradford) Harrington Sr.

Although he was challenged he taught us how to live, laugh and love. He was known for his saying, “Who’s too old.”

He is survived by two sisters-in-law; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; and will especially be missed by the kids, Kieara and Gage Garland, whom he loved dearly. One of nine children, Dana was predeceased by his four brothers and four sisters. Special thanks to Sonny Perry and to all those who cared for him at Pittsfield Rehab and Living Center. He loved each and every one of you.

Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 15, at Village Cemetery, Abbot.
