Thirty photographers from Penobscot Valley Industries will be showcasing their Second Annual Photography Exhibit during the month of October in the Lecture Hall and in the Stairwell Gallery at the Bangor Public Library.

PVI, a division of Amicus, provides community support services to individuals with disabilities by offering an array of experiences designed to promote creativity, personal growth, wellness, self-advocacy, life planning, independence, and quality of life. PVI seeks to build on the interests and talents of each individual and to encourage achievement at the highest level of skill and independence.

The theme of this year’s exhibit is “Reflections.” Some of the photos are very literal, and others are creative interpretations of the individual photographer. The photographers collaborate and plan this event for a year to create photos that enhance the expression of nature. The exhibit includes the work of individuals from Exhibition Photography Group, My Square Yards, and Digital Picture Development.

Their work includes inspiring community photos through the eyes of the photographers, capturing the beauty of downtown Bangor, Prentiss Woods, the Orono Bog, Swett’s Pond, a local ball field, The University of Maine at Orono, Windswept Gardens, and more.

Photographers participating in the exhibit are: Linda Atwood, Mary Ann Ayoob, Karen Colwell, Kevin Curtis, Julie Doucette, Rena Dugay, Chris Emery, Arlene Hart, David Hopkinson, Brenda Jury, Brenda Ouellette, Arno Labrecque, James Lay, Ryan LaHaye, Patricia Landry, Butch Leavitt, Wayne McAfee, Angela Messer, Jane Lee, Jon Ludden, Harry Pomeroy, Sabra Ravencraft, Alan Rawley, Brian Robinson, Bridget Sherry, Gregg Smith, Andy Tidd and Cindy Taylor.
