WASHBURN – Letha May Howe, 82, passed away Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at a Caribou nursing home. Letha was born in Washburn, the daughter of Isiah and Harriet (Searles) Brawn, but was raised by foster parents, Stanley and Louise (Butterfield) Howe.
Letha is survived by a special niece, Donna Oldmixon and her husband, John, of Washburn; and a foster brother, Vaughn Nadeau and his wife, Linda, of Wasilla, AK. In addition she is survived by several nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Letha was predeceased by her husband, Herbert Howe, and 14 brothers and sisters.
Friends and family may call noon-1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, at Washburn Pentecostal Church where a funeral service will be held at 1p.m. with the Rev. Bruce Blakney officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Letha’s memory may be made to Washburn Pentecostal Church. A committal service will be after the funeral at Riverside Extension Cemetery, Washburn.
