PLEASANT RIDGE PLANTATION, Maine — Maine State Police ended their search of a wooded region of Somerset County west of Bingham on Friday.

The multiday search of Pleasant Ridge Plantation revealed nothing, said Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland.

“The search is over. We found nothing,” said McCausland, adding that the search had to do with an old case.

On Thursday, he offered few clues as to what case police were working on or what they were looking for.

“We had our evidence recovery technicians and a team of detectives [at the scene],” he said. “We also had some of our K-9s.”

McCausland added that there are no immediate plans for police to return to the area.
