BANGOR, Maine — The Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce will hold two debates among the candidates for seats in the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate.
In the first forum — scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, at the Four Points Sheraton in Bangor — Democratic U.S. Rep. Mike Michaud and his Republican challenger in the 2nd District, Maine Senate President Kevin Raye, will debate for an hour. An optional $20 per person lunch will be held prior to the debate.
The second forum — to be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, at Husson University’s Gracie Theatre — will match up U.S. Senate candidates Charlie Summers, Angus King, Cynthia Dill and Andrew Ian Dodge. The debate will be preceded by a 5:30 p.m. reception open to the candidates and corporate officers and business owners from the Bangor region.
