Ann B. Pickrell

BANGOR – Ann B. Pickrell, 80, died Sept. 28, 2012, at a Bangor hospital, after a brief illness. She was born Dec. 29, 1931, in Springfield, Mass., the daughter of William J. and Marion (Shea) Burke.

She was a graduate of Classical High School, Springfield, Mass., class of 1949. Ann was employed as a telephone operator in Springfield, Mass., and later worked at the Springfield Jewish Community Center. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren’s sporting events and cheering for the Red Sox. Ann was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She was predeceased by her husband, Jesse L. Pickrell; and two sisters, Jean O’Neil and Rosemary (Sr. Ann Dolores) Burke. Surviving are two daughters, Diane Pickrell of Ohio, Joanne McDade of Bangor; one son, Robert Pickrell of Massachusetts; two grandchildren, Tyler and Alex McDade, both of Bangor; one sister, Eileen Rannenberg of Agawam, Mass.; several nieces and nephews; a dear, lifelong friend, Rita Bouchard of East Longmeadow, Mass.

Graveside services will be held 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Bangor. Relatives and friends are invited to meet 3:15 p.m. Thursday at the cemetery office, Ohio Street. Condolences to the family may be expressed at
