STANDISH, Maine — A mobile home was destroyed by fire early Monday morning, and state fire officials are investigating.

A dispatcher at the Standish Public Safety Public said the blaze broke out at 12:39 a.m. at 20 Deer Hill Ave.

The dispatcher said the home was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived on the scene, but the blaze was under control within a half an hour.

The owners of the home were not home at the time of the blaze, while Standish fire crews were assisted by counterparts from Buxton, Limington, Windham and Hollis.

The state fire marshal’s office is investigating a cause. The dispatcher said the home is a total loss.
