Daytime burglar steals $1,000 in cash and checks from Cushing home

CUSHING, Maine — The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is investigating another daytime home burglary.
The latest complaint came in shortly before 2 p.m. Friday at a residence in Cushing.
The burglar forced entry into the home and stole about $1,000 worth of cash and checks, according to Knox County Sheriff Donna Dennison.
Deputy Paul Spear is investigating the case.
The break-in follows a series of home burglaries reported about a month ago in rural communities in the county.
