ORONO, Maine — A report of erratic driving on Sunday evening led to the arrest of a Dixmont man, according to police.

When officers pulled behind Silvanus Angerton, 20, he was all over Main Street as he headed eastbound on U.S. Route 2 toward town, according to Orono police Capt. Josh Ewing.

Ewing said the vehicle was continually drifting across the center of the road.

Field sobriety tests confirmed the officers’ suspicions, and Agerton was arrested and booked into the Penobscot County Jail on a charge of operating under the influence, Ewing said.

Police declined to release Agerton’s blood alcohol content.
