Crash backs up traffic in northbound, southbound lanes of Maine Turnpike

SACO, Maine — Motorists traveling in the northbound and southbound lanes on the Maine Turnpike Friday night should expect delays due to a motor vehicle crash.

The accident happened shortly before 9:45 p.m. between Exit 32 in Biddeford and Exit 36 in Saco, according to an alert issued Friday night by the Maine Turnpike Authority. The authority said motorists should expect major delays in the affected area. Two tractor-trailers are involved, according to the Turnpike Authority.
