BREWER – Louine E. Dow, 87, died Sept. 18, 2012, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Feb. 28, 1925, in East Corinth, daughter of Wilfred J. and Odessa (Bridgham) Munn.
Her early working years was with Department of Health & Welfare, Division of Public Assistance, Dover-Foxcroft. She was a resident of Waterbury, Conn., from 1952 to 1968. She was a loyal and active member of South Congregational Church Waterbury Retarded Children’s Association. At the time of her death she was a member of First Baptist Church, Bangor, The Bangor Nature Club, The Maine Audubon Society, and The Maine Forest and Logging Museum. She retired in 1985 as a registered optician.
Louine was predeceased by a daughter, Catherine Ruth Dow, 22, in 1971. She is survived by three daughters, Brenda Connelly of Florida and Georgia, Deana Kimmell and husband, Mark, of Georgia, and Christina Mary Williams and husband, Scott, of Utah; son, Ralph Edward Dow and wife, Mary; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at First Baptist Church, 56 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Stephanie Salinas officiating. Interment will be at a later date at Pine Tree Cemetery, Hermon.
