FORT KENT – Noella (Titite) Guimond, 83, went home to be with her precious Lord and Savior, Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at Frenchville health care facility. She was born Dec. 25, 1928, in Wallagrass, a “Christmas angel,” daughter of Charles and Victoria Pinette.
She was a devoted wife and mother. Her passion was to cook for family and friends, making ployes, homemade chocolate pudding, and pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. Noella was known for making everyone feel special and loving them unconditionally. When she accepted the Lord as her Savior, her favorite time was sitting down to read her Bible and witness for Jesus Christ.
Noella is survived by her husband of 68 years, Herman Guimond; and eight children, Joel and wife, Rena Mae, of Wallagrass, Gail and husband, Bob Sirois, of Fort Kent, Daniel and wife, Shirley, of McNeal, Ariz., Larry and wife, Debbie, of Fort Kent, Tim and wife, Cheryl, of Fort Kent, Debbie and husband, Barney Daigle, of Livermore Falls, Dale and wife, Elizabeth, of Wallagrass, and Bruce and wife, Carol, of Hermon. She was blessed with 19 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Leda Rich, Bernice Smart, Terry LeClerc and Stella Garceau. She was predeceased by two sisters and seven brothers.
A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, at Fort Kent Senior Citizen Center, to celebrate her new life with the Savior. There will be no wake, but a receiving line will be held 2 p.m. A private dedication will be held for husband and children on the Belanger Settlement Farm, Wallagrass. Arrangements are a service of Daigle Funeral Home, 14 East Main St., Fort Kent.
