Marilyn Wardwell

CARIBOU – Marilyn Wardwell, 77, wife of the late Leon Wardwell, died Sept. 14, 2012, in Caribou, after a long illness. She was born May 30, 1935, in Perham, the daughter of the late Bert and Annie (Green) Skidgel.

Mrs. Wardwell was employed by Tater State, as well as Birds Eye for many years. She was a gentle and kind lady, who always took care of her family members when they were ill and was loved by all who knew her. Her favorite saying was “I love everyone.” She truly loved all animals, but especially her cats, Tinkerbell and Little Girl.

She is survived by her son, Allen Skidgel and his companion, Barb, of Tennessee; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; her sister, Alice Connor of Sangerville; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Leon; a granddaughter, Angel; brothers, Donald, Benjamin and Obadiah; and a daughter-in-law, Linda.

Graveside services will be held noon Saturday, Sept. 22, at Fairview Cemetery, Perham, with the Rev. Bruce Blakney officiating. Arrangements by Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou. www.mocklerfuneralhome.com
