LARGO – James K. Knight, 64, died Sept. 11, 2012, at Largo Medical Center from complications of pneumonia. He was born in Kansas City, Kan., son of J. Homer Knight, who predeceased him, and Jeanne Murray.
James was a lifelong biker, who loved the open road; he was given the name “Turk.” He was also an avid blues lover, who went to Rockland Blues Festival for 14 years as a family tradition. But most of all, he was a family man who gave his all to his wife and children. He will be forever missed.
He leaves behind his devoted wife of 36 years, Dawn; loving children, Nicole Knight, Aaron Knight and Kendra Murray; brothers, John and wife, Debbie Murray, and their daughter, Jill, and Chris Murray; sister-in-law, Cherille Johnson; brother-in-law, Gary Gates; nieces, Caitlyn Johnson and Jessica Murray – daughter of deceased brother, Jerry Murray.
A private service will take place at his final resting-place at Sarasota National Cemetery.
