Flags to be flown at half-staff through Sunday

AUGUSTA, Maine — In accordance with a presidential proclamation, the U.S. flag and the state of Maine flag shall be flown at half-staff until sunset Sunday, Sept. 16, in honor of the four Americans who lost their lives after an attack on the U.S. diplomatic post in Benghazi, Libya.

“The loss of these four Americans who so nobly served their country is a tragedy. My heart goes out their friends and families, and I encourage all Mainers to keep them in their thoughts and prayers,” said Gov. Paul LePage.
